Namir turns into Menachem Begin (this is weirder than you think, if you knew the politicians involved)
Follow M. Begin to intersection with HaRakevet St.
RIGHT onto HaRakevet St. and RIGHT into the parking lot.
OR
Take the Ayalon Hwy SOUTH to the LaGuardia exit
Bear LEFT and head towards the Allenby area on HaRakevet (it may start out as Rosh Pina, but turns into HaRakevet)
Follow HaRakevet and cross the intersection with Derech Menachem Begin (formerly Derech Petach Tikva).
The entrance to the parking lot is on your RIGHT.

Parking costs NIS 15-20.

Directions from Jerusalem: Route 6 north to Horseshit (Horeshim) exit. Pass 2 lights go another km and take first Kfar Sava exit. Turn Right at the lights (Route 40). Go to the T and turn Left. 2nd lights has 2 gas stations turns Right. Pass rotary and take third left into big parking lot. If you got to the Paz gas station on the right then you went too far.

From Herzeliya: Cross route 4 at Raanana/Kfar Sava North intersection heading east. Go about 4 kms to traffic light with soccer stadium (on your right) and turn right (if you get to a rotary you went too far).

Go to next lights and turn right. Take first right into big parking lot.

Your Hares are Sir Captain Caveman who cannot run and maybe Pig Woman who hopefully will show up with a few bags of flower at 17:30 and help hare and if not than choose a live hare before the run.

And now for the directions to this week thirsty hash:
Coming off the Ayalon hwy at Rokach exit, go east (meaning that if you
are coming from the south you need to go right and so on...). after
you pass the amusement park on your left and under a pedestrian bridge
you'll get to a traffic light in which you need to take a right
towards Ayalon mall. go straight but dont go in the tunnel, instead
take the right lane and when you get to the big junction go straight
and right after the traffic light there is a small parking lot on your
right (I believe its next to a bicycle shop but i could be wrong).
anyway if your lost, stuck, not sure about the economy or just need a

coming from the south on route 4 you take a right in Ra'anana junc. after the 3rd traffic light (should be a police station on the left side) look for a blue and orange sign (says "victory"- in Hebrew of course) 10-20 meters after the sign, before the traffic light, there is a side road to the right take it and will be there.

Take Highway 2 to the Sira Exit (Industrial section) make a left at the intersection. and enter Herzliya P. Continue straight on Abba Eban. Make your first possible right onto Maskit Street. You will see a large parking lot on your left. Make a left onto Yohanan HaSandler Street. You may park in the lot for an advertised 12 shekels or use the street meter parking on the outskirts of the lot. The hare will be waiting for you at one of the corners of the lot.

Directions: South Tel Aviv, park car park on Elifelet Street. If coming from the north along Ayalon, take the Kibbutz Galiyot exit to the left heading East along Kibbutz Galiyot. Turn left onto Elifelet (about 2 kms down the road). Cross one set of traffic lights (over Salamay) and turn into the huge (free) car park on the left.
If coming from central Tel Aviv, come south along Kaufman, turn right at the traffic lights on to Goldman towards the Jaffa clock tower, turn left at the round about onto Salamay, cross over Jerusalem Boulevard, turn left at the third set of traffic lights on to Elifelet. If you were unable to run the Desert Challenge last Friday night early Saturday morning, you wouldn't want to miss this run. So, please join us for the Tel Aviv Challenge.

Directions: Located at the parking lot at the end of Dizengoff St and a little to the right. Take Dizengoff to the end and turn right, go over the bridge and turn Left into the car park.

From Ayalon get off at Rokah, head towards the sea, over the bridge and pass two sets of lights and at the third set turn right into the parking lot. I think the parking is now free.

Yes, it is hard to believe but Lady Goldmember is setting the trail
this week. I am sure it will be an exciting event as it has been
almost TWO YEARS since Lady Goldmember has set a Hash on Thursday
night. We should be prepared for anything because I think the sky may
fall tomorrow night or hell may freeze over or pigs might fly or maybe
the Philadelphia Phillies will win the World Series*.

Directions: From Tel Aviv, Herzilyia, Ramat Gan, etc --- Route 5 East
to the Yarkon Interchange - Hod HaSharon Exit . When exiting stay in
left lanes as you will turn left at the light on to Route 40. Go
under the overpass and make your next right on to Route 55 (I think).
Take this road all the way to then end - T-Junction - Mega store will
be on your right. At the T-Junction make a right and at the your
first light make a left and then your next left. Go straight to the
end and the parking lot is opposite of restaurant/hall - PITAYA. Lady

Pool tables have been reserved for 9:30 at the Bar Giyora pub for a
special "between the birthdays" On-On on-after. It's located at 4 Bar

Hashers are encouraged to invite ordinary civilians to join us at Bar

Here's the scoop on Thursday night.

Directions:

Take the 4 south.

Take the 2nd Entrance into Ashdod (South)

You'll be on M. Begin St.

Stay on it through the tunnel in the city center.

Keep going until you reach the "Sails" Round-a-bout. (down the hill) Take the second right off the round-a-bout. (Exodus St.) Find parking along Exodus you'll see us :)

At the minimum I'll have chips & pretzels for after the run.

I might make real food for everybody, but I'm not sure if I can. Tell folks to bring money to go out for food just in case.

The Hash tradition continues! Fer Fox Sake set the New Year's Day 2007 run/swim and planned out a short 11k trail which was halved, as Captain Caveman reports, due to icky weather.

"Let's see...Run #663 1/3. I sat in the car because it was cold. I saw Foxake approaching from the west so I got out of the car. Dr. D arrived with Champagne and kosher cheese and kosher salami. Goldmember arrived and complained. Letourn-Ho arrived late so we waited (still cold). No one else arrived so we ran. The Hare allowed us a 6 km shortcut. We got to the sea, took off shoes and some of us took off socks too and sort of went in. L-Ho said that compared to Oregon, it's warm. L-Ho said she was now cold so we ran back to the circle. The run was changed to 663 1/4. We had the Champagne and kosher cheese and kosher salami. We had Champagne down-downs. We had Beer down-downs. We welcomed the New Year. We went home."

Apparently everyone was SCB and aside from that, no one remembers any of the actual Down-downs. Here's proof:

And, on a more modest note, Ramat Gan Safari 8k Race was run by Stroker in 38 minutes, and Boston Creamed in 50.09. Last week, Deliverance completed the Eilat Triathlon. So we are doing very well.

There was also Hash 101 this week -- girls only. We sewed, knitted, crocheted, ran 3k, had dinner and went home.

Hear ye, hear ye! The Thursdy night hash will be in Herziliyya
Pituach . Directions for outside of Herziliyya:

From Ayalon, take the Herziliyya Pituach exit. Go under underpass and
enter H.P. take your first left after the underpass onto Shenkar
Street. (The left comes quickly so be ready). Take right onto
Hamenofim and go to the end of the street and take a left onto
Hasado'at Street. Follow the road all the way to the end and park in
the very last gravel parking lot on your right where your hare will be
waiting for you.

We meet at the Reading Parking lot (costs 15-20 sheks)

Directions: Ayalon North or South to Rokah exit.

Head West (towards the ocean), over the bridge, pass the lights, get in the right lane, after the next lights turn into the paying parking lot.

If coming from Tel-Aviv go Yarkon St. to the end, over the bridge, left into the parking lot.

Bring a flashlight.

Cost: 20 sheks for the run, the beer is free.

Intro to TKHHH

The Thirsty Knights Hash House Harriers usually runs every other Thursday night starting at 8PM.

It costs 20 Shekels to run.

The run usually follows a pre set trail of white powder, usually flour.

The runs are usually from 4-8 kms.

We usually run in all kinds of weather.

After the run we have our beer ceremony. It's what we do, we run, and we drink beer.

Some Hashers like Goldmember try and spoil it by not drinking beer, sometimes she wins and sometimes she loses.

Other Hashers like Russian Bride volunteer to drink everyone elses beer, sometimes he wins and sometimes he loses... Did I mention we have Hash names?

Some Hashers live far away and run with us in their dreams, others don't give us thought.

After the beer we go to eat at a resturant chosen by the one that set the trail which we try and take turns setting.
